After a very long day (30 hours hotel to hotel) we arrived in Bali Tuesday afternoon. Our room is very nice; it’s one of the honeymoon suites at the resort. That said, the internet is quite spotty; in hindsight we should have bought sims for our phones at the airport as originally planned.
Although I had taken the time to save several area restaurants that I found doing prep for the trip, we couldn’t find details about any of them, so we picked one that was both nearby (and open) for dinner the first night. As it turned out, they had a live show with traditional Balinese dancers, so we were welcomed to the island in style.
It was quite a bit more expensive than other more local places–$17 for both of us vs. $4-$5 or even less, but we enjoyed the show.
